From God’s Mountain **** To God’s Country
I’m sure that “God’s Mountain” reminded you of Moses and “that” mountain, but it is reference the ancestral home of our family “Gottesberg”.
Jeremiah 29 verse 11: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,…plans to give hope and a future…, became alive and personal to me. Following the path of our family from “Gottesberg” (A.D. 1200) through the time of the Reformation, to early Bible entries of family dates (1808) through World War I, then WWII and later my journey to America, clearly showed God’s hand at work.
I saw that God’s path for me superseded the perilous times of World War I. My mom was 6 months old when my grandfather was killed. In WWII God protected my parents when they worked against the Nazi power, by helping Jews and smuggling food to some Dutch people during the occupation of Holland.
Then a few years later God brought me to America, to hear His message of love for me.
Today I combine my experience as a Christian and my family history to make people aware of the importance and power of each individual. To keep alive what God has entrusted to them by allowing them to live in America, a country that was founded on and with Christian principles.
